THINKING OF EXTENDING YOUR HOME?

TIMBER FRAME EXTENSION

Using timber frame to build an extension will achieve a rapid result and limit the inconvenience and mess that comes with using bricks and blocks.  Whether you are building a single or two storey extension, the use of timber frame is an efficient way of gaining the additional space you need in a cost effective way.  Timber frame is economical, environmentally friendly and gives a high level of insulation and airtightness.

Timber frame can be installed in all weather conditions and it does not have to stop if the temperature drops.  Building an extension in timber frame is flexible, so if you should change your mind about the size or position of the openings in your extension as it proceeds, then alterations can be made (subject to the timber frame designers’ approval) as work progresses.

The speed of installation of a timber frame extension means that the follow on trades such as electricians and plasterers can start their work much earlier in the build programme.  If the timber frame extension has a brickwork outer skin, this is built up after the timber frame is watertight at the same time as the internal areas are being fitted out.

Our timber frame kits include the walls, floor joists and roof trusses.  We also offer an installation service for all of our products, if required.

If you are planning an extension and are considering using timber frame, contact us for information or a quote for the design and supply of your timber frame.
